Manifesto
of the Anti Censorship Committee (ACC)

1-
ACC has
been form to advocate freedom of thought, speech and
the freedom to study and have access to other
thoughts and ideas for all the people in the world
and especially for people of Iran. The aim of the
Committee is to combat against censorship and fight
against all elements that oppose freedom of thought,
speech and choice of the citizens.
2-
ACC in
Iran is an independent organisation and has no
affiliation to any political party or person. It is
a none political and none religious organisation.
CCI in Iran was formed on ………….. and carries out its
activities under the name of Iran Proxy.
3-
The
Committee abbreviation is ACC.
4-
One of
the aims of the Committee is to expand the culture
of freedom of speech and cooperates with all
organisations and individuals all over the world
that advocate such aim.
5-
Freedom
of speech belongs to all humans irrespective of
their race, colour, nationality, gender, language,
religion, political views, nationality, social
status, wealth, place of birth or any other
position. There should be no discrimination.
6-
No
government, organisation, group or individual has
the right to censor freedom of speech or personal
creations whether real or legal.
7-
No
government, group or individual has the right to
close a website or web blog or prevent the
publication of newspapers or electronic newspapers,
CDs, cassettes, DVDs or any other information tools.
8-
Freedom
of speech covers all mass and individual media. All
people have the right to have access to the media
such as TV, radio, cinema, internet, books, and
publications, all audio and video tools. They also
have the right of access to public places such as
conference halls and assembly points used by
students. There should be no limitations or
censorship in this regard.
9-
No
government, organisation, group or individual has
the right to forge or change the works of others
such as writings, films, audio and video, books,
publications and such.
10-
Everybody has freedom of speech and belief. Nobody
should have fear of his/her believes or fear of
gaining information and publishing them. Everyone
has the right to freedom of opinion and expression;
this right includes freedom to hold opinions without
interference and to seek, receive and impart
information and ideas through any media and
regardless of frontiers. (Article 19 of United
Nations Declaration of Human Rights).
11-
Everybody has the freedom to have access to all
scientific, cultural products; all TV networks; all
internet sites; all books and media; all films; all
cultural and social venues; all speeches and all
other information centres. Nobody has the right to
limit this access or prevent it.
12-
Nobody,
individual or judicial person does not have the
right to condemn or torture a person for exercising
his/her right to freedom of expression and believes.
13-
Everybody
has the right to choose his/her religion and not to
follow his/her ancestry religion. He/she has the
right to change his/her belief whenever he/she
wishes. No organ or individual has the right to
prevent such wishes.
14-
Any
person, individual or judiciary, has the right to
express his/her views about the society, the country
and the politics of the country and the world in any
way he/she wishes.
15-
Everybody
has equal right of expression and no one has the
right to impose his/her view on others or prevent
others from expressing themselves.
16-
Everybody, individuals or judicial, has the right to
express their views about the rulers and politicians
because they occupy a position of responsibility. It
is free to express views about the rulers of the
country and nobody has the right to prosecute or
punish people for expressing their views.
17-
Drawing
caricatures or writing humorous texts about all
issues is free to all. Nobody should be persecuted
or punished for doing so.
18-
Everybody
must be able to sign his/her work without any fear
or persecution from the authorities or individuals.
Nobody has the right to forge such work.
19-
Nobody
has the right to create such atmosphere that forces
an individual or a group to resort to self
censorship; or prevent them from expressing their
views.
20-
Nobody
has the right to destroy or damage the work of
deceased people or the works of dissolved groups.
21-
None of
the points in this manifesto should be interpreted
in a way that allows authorities or communities to
undermine freedoms which constitute basic human
rights.
22-
Based on
the principle of maintaining human respect and
values, ACC tries to achieve basic freedoms and
rights by employing all none governmental human
rights organisation’s resources and all
international mass media.
